ENCOURAGING THE FORMATION OF READING HABIT IN CHILDREN
Abstract
Nigerian teachers, librarians, and parents are concerned about children's poor reading habits, which vary across countries and cultural backgrounds. To encourage reading, Nigerians should adopt ideas from developed countries and adapt them to their own backgrounds. Reluctant and backward readers need stimulation and encouragement from adults. Implementing measures should be done quickly, without waiting for a professional librarian.
