THE ROLE OF PUBLISHING IN THE DESSEMIANTION OF KNOWLEDGE
Abstract
Publishing is critical for knowledge dissemination, driving the pace of development in a rapidly evolving world. While it has become a technological process, professionalism is essential, as dissemination equates to nourishing the growth of knowledge. Publishers act as catalysts in the communication of knowledge to consumers, who seek quick identification and selection of information. This need is challenged by the rapid generation of ideas and limited time. Consequently, publications must be organized into parts known as prime sources of information, necessitating that publishers provide adequate details for effective bibliographic description.
